The one of the oldest running train in India since 1912 (104 years old). The inaugural run of the Punjab Mail is thought to have taken place on 1 June 1912. Then known as The Punjab Limited, the train initially ran from Ballard Pier to Peshawar, taking British officers, civil servants, and their families directly from their ships to Delhi and the North-West frontier of British India.This train is older than the G T Express which started on 1st January 1929.

thanks to terrorist activities and fish plate removals, now railtracks are long welded. kilometres of tracks without fishplates and junctions. has the heat stopped increasing the length of tracks or has the coefficient of thermal expansion for iron decreased?

Excuse Me If U can Visit #Firozpur Cantt station u will see only Wooden sleepers no Concrete or Steel or iron Sleepers are used. ON PF No1 Wooden Sllepers are with Greenery plants are there and nobody cuts it on PF no 2 Wooden Sleepers are totally disapaered under Ground only Railtracks and Rats Holes are Visible. On Pf no 3,4 &5 all are dissapeared only Garbage is Found on the tracks nobody cares to clean it
