State & identified SINI as prime source for Iron Ore, Limestone & Coal. This site selection received support from govn who promise to create Railway Link to Gorumahisani Hills with NGP-Calcutta (Bengal Nagpur Line). Maharaja also supported TATA site as he envisaged new plant will add railway lines to entire princely state. Sini was rejected and soon sakchi click here
was selected as Plant site coz of water source & proximity to Railway Station Kalimaati (which become Tatanagar in 1918). Badampahar (Badam Hills) was found to be enriched with iron ore & track extended later on (maybe). Earlier during 1930's, 2 separate train run for GUMI & BMPR which got merged in early 1940's which pave way for dual reversal.
