I can't help but wonder at the good pace that work is going on. It showcases that if the government wants, it can definitely improve rail infrastructure in a given region relatively quickly. After all, this LKO-AY-BSB stretch was built in the British era and remained a single, diesel line for nearly a century with mps not touching triple digits even.
I sometimes think how many such main/branch lines linger in our country that have relatively been untouched since the British left/underwent no major improvements.
