Yesterday Joka - Taratala Metro Stretch of Kolkata Metro Purple Line was also inaugurated but the hype of Vande Bharat overshadowed every other thing. The craze for Vande Bharat was just amazing but the Metro is an equally important project. 💓

by PM Shri Narendra Modi and later RM Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw took ride from Joka to Taratala. In the last picture you can see RM applauding for the Kolkata Metro Team. 🙏🏻

Only one Rake - MR 418 will be operated in this route. First commercial service will start from 2nd January 2023 and services will be available from Monday to Friday. No Services on Saturdays and Sundays.

No. It is the East - West Metro. Currently Operational from Sector V to Sealdah Station. Sealdah to Howrah Maidan will be opened later after construction.
