The station is in the outskirts. Though just about 5 km from the city center, it can be hard to find transport to the station if you plan to catch a train lime Vive express to Kanyakumari in the middle of the night. Please talk to a auto rickshaw or some other transport person in advance and reserve your vehicle. It takes less than 15 minutes to reach the station from the city centre
