My coach was at the back end (cantt side), we got out of the auto near that end, there were escalators, but the lift wasn't working, so we had to use the stairs. Luckily, my coach was right next to the stairs and even with heavy luggage, it was a bit of a struggle.
There are steel frames to climb onto the upper berths, my mother had some trouble, but since we both had upper berths, we decided to stick to our seats for a peaceful sleep.
(The vacancy chart says the passenger with the lower berth will board from Jabalpur at 1400 hrs. I'm happy to sit then.)

Yo, there was this rumor about smoke in the AC system in B-5. The passengers freaked out and rushed to B-4 in our compartment. The ticket collector and some staff showed up and after a while, they announced that it was just some small issue and everyone could go back. The passengers said they smelled something bad and saw smoke, even the smoke detector alarm went off, but nobody really knew what was going on. 😃

EDIT: Apparently, a rat got into the main electrical panel near the main door, which set off the smoke detector alarm.
Technology saved the day, man... the precautionary evacuation caused by the smoke detector alarm was a smart move by the passengers.
And the attendant was ready with a fire extinguisher, thank goodness.

AC system B-5 mein dhuan ke baare mein kuch afwah thi, aur hamare compartment ke yatri B-4 mein bhage. TTE aur kuch staff aaye aur kuch der baad bataya gaya ki yeh koi chhoti si samasya hai aur yatri laut gaye. Yatriyon ne kaha ki unhe kuch gadbad ki badbu aur dhuan dikhaai diya tha aur dhuan ke detector ka alarm bhi baja. Lekin wazahat nahi hui. 😃

EDIT: Ek chuha mukhya electro panel ke paas gaya tha, jiske kaaran dhuan ke detector ka alarm baja.
Yahaan takniki madad sahayak thi... dhuan ke detector ka alarm se prathamik roop se evacuation ka aaghaaz yatriyon dwaara kiya gaya tha.
Attendant fire extinguisher ke saath tayaar tha.
