Wrik~ 9022 blog postsPlanning a trip in this November. I want to take 22461 and get down at PTKC which arrives there at 2 am. I need to catch 6 am NG train from NUPR. Can I catch that? Where shall I get bus or taxi for that?

There is a cloak room at both PTK and PTKC. Not sure about the retiring rooms. If you are getting down at PTKC, you'd get share autos ( rs 30) to reach PTK.I reached at 4 am and found dozens of such autos waiting outside. The main bus stand in PTK is a 2 min walk from the railway station, and few autos would drop you to the bus stand.

There were plenty of buses at 5 am, so guessing there would be many at those hours too. Also a lot of overnight buses going to Dharamshala and Baijnath pass thru Pathankot at 3-4 am to reach Dharamshala at 7am. You can travel in that too apart from the ones starting from Pathankot. Just remember not to ask for Nurpur coz Nurpur town is a further 8-10 kms away from Jassur. Some local buses offer a stop at SBI Jassur, which is one stop before Jassur cross and the railway station is a 1 min walk just across the road.

Lunch is served for passengers boarding at Hubli. You get lunch and evening snacks & hot beverages on board. No dinner is served.

Tippu exp( now wodeyar exp), Siddaganga exp and this Talguppa exp all of which share an elaborate RSA, are one of the few trains which offers TV for 2S pax.

Based on the run yesterday and today, there is scope to reduce atleast 10-15 mins of travel time between YPR-UBL. Further MPS enhancements on this route are ongoing and the full route can come 110 capable by this year end hopefully. Also KSRTC has deployed Volvo buses outside Hubli linking to this Vande Bharat which will take pax to and fro Belgaum in 2 hrs. The service starts today I guess. Based on the response this gets plus after the entire route is 110kmph capable, Belgaum extension can easily implemented.

Nothingispermanentvalid~ 707 blog postsRailway can easily extend bkn ypr exp upto chennai because it has a big layover at ypr and people of Rajasthan will also get extra train to Chennai. And by shifting primary maintenance at bkn and secondary maintenance at chennai.
Extension isn't possible. This rake belongs to SWR, primary maintenance happens at YPR and not at BKN. More importantly, this has RSA with another train- YPR-UBL exp.

Why would a rake belonging to SWR have its primary maintenance outside SWR? And why would SWR, whose primary responsibility it is to cater to the demands and needs of the people its zone and runs a train from its HQ to the capital city give up the rake to cater to needs of Bikaner wanting a train to Chennai. You should approach NWR or SR and work with them for a new train to Chennai, if at all there is need for one, or approach the Railway board to effect a rake transfer from SWR to NWR.
