Not to sound unprofessional, we generally don't check site traffic (especially these days, as it serves no purpose anyway). :-) The purpose of the site has always been to serve whoever chooses to visit - not to increase traffic or spur growth. Again, not to sound unprofessional, in earlier days, we used to be relieved when traffic lessened, as site maintenance became easier. The ONLY thing that we do not want is that someone comes to the site, and the site is not functioning. Ten years after the site opened, we still abide by /blog/post/1
.
These...
more... days, we are absolutely not fetching any PNR, Availability, etc. info from other sites. The only thing being fetched is News for posting. Fetching of PNR, Availability was a source of great stress/frustration as the official sites would lag, which had a chain effect on IRI blogs, etc. and site response. Now that stress is completely gone.
.
So, on the positive side, the site is much more responsive and stable than before. Several overhauls/changes have gone on behind the scenes to completely separate the site from external fetching, and this has been very beneficial for site maintenance.
.
Unfortunately, the above still does not answer your question. Sorry about that - I myself don't know (and don't want to know). You may yourself make out some things from the front-end. For example, we don't get thousands of PNRs flooding into the site. People don't come to the site for the Availability Calendar, etc. So, traffic must have gone down.
.
Thanks.
